PAC – Political Action Committee

One objective of WMFHA is to find strength in numbers. Building a coalition among industry professionals is one of the most effective ways to turn ideas into action. In addition to having a professional lobbyist working for WMFHA in Olympia, we have formed a Political Action Committee. The goal of the PAC is to support state and local candidates who represent good government and understand the needs and concerns of the multifamily housing industry. Through the PAC, we strive to better educate lawmakers about our industry and guarantee that no decision is made that could affect our industry until our voices are heard.
 

Thank you to our 2008 PAC Contributors

WMFHA PAC raised over $20,000 in 2008 including:

• $5000 from Weidner Apartment Homes
• $4800 from Equity Residential

With these contributions and those of many of our membership, the PAC contributed over $27,000 to 36 candidates running for statewide or legislative races. Of the 36 candidates WMFHA PAC contributed to, 34 won their election!
