5th annual Impact Day with Rebuilding Together!

More than $22,000 of goods and services were donated to our 5th annual Volunteer Impact Day!

Rebuilding Together Seattle brings volunteers and communities together to help low-income homeowners live in warmth, safety, and independence.

We host our Impact Day yearly to continue to give back to local communities and provide a way for the association’s members to be a part of a charity volunteer day, We chose houses owned by a US Navy veteran and his family, and the home of a widow of a US military member who has lived in her home for 55 years.

“This volunteer day was extremely rewarding and heartwarming for our member participants. To be able to help these homeowners out with needed repairs was a joy for all who attended,” says Jim Wiard.

Our members donated materials, equipment, and labor to make extensive repairs and replacements in the homes. New appliances installed included a dishwasher and a new washer and dryer. Roof treatment was made in the two homes. Gutters were cleaned, landscaping was coordinated, a back deck was replaced, ceiling fans and light fixtures were upgraded, and safety items like grab bars and smoke detectors were installed, along with other needed repairs.

We would like to thank these members for their participation in this gratifying event: HD Supply, TopLine Counters, Vasquez Landscapes, All-Clean! Seattle, Ferguson Facilities Supply, Stop Bugging Me! Pest Control, NPI, Home Depot Pro, One Way Carpet Cleaning, Zumper, Finnmark Property Services, Apartment Advantage Staffing, and teams at Thrive Communities, Weidner Apartment Homes, Allied Residential, and Greystar Management.

In total, your donations of goods and services valued over $22,000 for the two homes! Thank you so much for giving your time, energy, supplies, and skills to make this project possible! We especially would like to thank the following volunteers:
