Spokane Tenant Protections

Posted By: Carter Nelson Advocacy News,

Last year, the City of Spokane joined jurisdictions across the state in passing additional regulations on the housing industry. We are now starting to receive feedback on the effects of this policy from our members. Included in these negative effects is the frustration with encouraging residents to take legal action against their housing provider with new private cause of action, as well as the funding of a private lawyer whose job is to enforce RLTA violations.

In response, we would like to hold a roundtable with our members in Spokane, and the surrounding areas, to voice your concerns and give us feedback so we can better understand how you are being impacted by these new regulations. We will be hosting this virtually on April 4, with the help of Spokane Attorney, Mack Mayo.

Please email Carter at carter@wmfha.org to RSVP. We will be promoting this as we get closer to April 4.
