Professional Bio
Nick Marin joined the Washington Multi-Family Housing Association (WMFHA) as the organization’s Executive Director in January 2023, bringing more than a decade of managerial experience in the non-profit trade association.
He began his career with the California Restaurant Association (CRA), where he first led the Product Marketing team in expanding the bilingual ServSafe Food Handler, Manager, and Alcohol training programs. He was then promoted to manage the Member Development and Retention program for the Northern California region, covering the Sacramento, Central Valley, and Fresno Chapters.
Most recently, Nick spent 7 years as the Executive Director of the Yolo County Association of REALTORS (YCAR), where he was responsible for the organizations’ fiscal and budgetary management, local lobbying efforts, member development and retention, philanthropic/fundraising activities, networking events, Multiple Listing Service (MLS) management, and the garnering of partnerships with local, state and national stakeholders.
While at WMFHA, Nick has been responsible for the overall administration of the 7th largest NAA affiliate. He’s led WMFHA to achieve NAA’s Excelling Affiliate status in 2024 and is a finalist for the 2025 NAA Excellence Awards –Affiliate of the Year category.
Nick is a graduate of the University of California, Davis with degrees in International Relations and Spanish, and holds the At Home With Diversity (AHWD) designation from the National Association of REALTORS (NAR) and the Certified Multiple Listing Executive Volunteer (CMLX-V) designation from the Council of Multiple Listing Services (CMLS). Outside of work, Nick enjoys exploring the Puget Sound with his wife and two young children, trying craft beer, and soccer (as a former professional soccer referee with US Soccer).
