Professional Bio
Nick Marin joined the Washington Multi-Family Housing Association (WMFHA) as the organization’s Executive Director in January 2023, bringing more than a decade of trade association leadership experience.
He began his career with the California Restaurant Association (CRA), where he first led the Product Marketing team in expanding the bilingual ServSafe Food Handler, Manager, and Alcohol training programs. He was then promoted to manage the Member Development and Retention Program for the Northern California region, covering the Sacramento, Central Valley, and Fresno Chapters.
Most recently, Nick spent 7 years as the Executive Director of the Yolo County Association of REALTORS (YCAR), where he was responsible for the organizations’ fiscal and budgetary management, local lobbying efforts, member development and retention, philanthropic/fundraising activities, networking events, Multiple Listing Service (MLS) management, and the garnering of partnerships with local, state and national stakeholders.
As WMFHA's Executive Director, Nick is responsible for overseeing the administration of the 7th largest affiliate in the National Apartment Association (NAA) network, serving as the staff liaison to the 20-member Board of Directors and 6-member Executive Board. Since his arrival, WMFHA has been recognized nationally as a NAA Excelling Affiliate in 2024 and NAA Affiliate of the Year in 2025.
Nick is a graduate of the University of California, Davis, with degrees in International Relations and Spanish, and holds the At Home With Diversity (AHWD) designation from the National Association of REALTORS (NAR) and the Certified Multiple Listing Executive Volunteer (CMLX-V) designation from the Council of Multiple Listing Services (CMLS).
Outside of the office, Nick enjoys spending time with his wife and two young toddlers, exploring the PNW, and watching soccer. Nick is a first-generation US citizen and is fluent in Spanish.
