Professional Bio

Nick, the newest member of the WMFHA team, joined in January 2023 with over 10 years of experience in non-profit, trade association operations. New to the Multi-Family Housing industry, but with strong ties to housing issues Nick will help lead and oversee WMFHA's strategic initiatives including membership growth, government affairs and internal/BOD operations.

Prior to his arrival, Nick served as Executive Director of the Yolo County Association of REALTORS in Northern California where he oversaw the internal and external operations of the organization - finances, member development and retention, committees, grassroots government affairs strategy, events and fundraising, and Board of Director operations. Before that, he worked for the California Restaurant Association, first as its Product Marketing Manager and then as Northern California Member Development Manager responsible for coordinating and overseeing the statewide ServeSafe Food Handler and Manager Training program, and member development and retention, respectively.

Nick is a first generation American and a native Spanish speaker. He grew up in Davis, CA, and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Spanish from the University of California, Davis (UCD), where he consequently met his wife, Alex. Together, they have an infant daughter, Sophia, and are expecting their second, a boy, in March 2023.
