Professional Bio
Jake Mayson grew up in Western and Central Washington before spending his senior year of high school in Los Alamos, New Mexico. He returned to attend Washington State University, where he studied Political Science and was active in student government.
Jake began his career as staff in the Washington State Senate, supporting the senator who chaired Economic Development and Vice-Chaired Energy and Environment. He went on to work on a range of state and local campaigns across Washington and spent time lobbying with Carney Badley Spellman, representing clients in healthcare, construction, insurance, and manufacturing.
He later led political and government affairs programs for the Central Washington Home Builders Association and Greater Spokane Incorporated, focusing on issues such as land use, healthcare, workforce development, energy, and economic development.
Just before joining WMFHA in December 2025, Jake spent time as the Director of State and Local Government Affairs for Walgreens Co, managing the company’s legislative activities across 10 states.
He currently lives in Downtown Seattle with his wife, Meagan, and their cat, Walter.
