What Being a Team Really Means

This talk breaks down what being a team really means — beyond job titles, task lists, and the occasional office thermostat war. It’s about trust, showing up, owning the day, and building an environment people actually want to walk into. Through humor, interactive reflection, we’ll look at seizing the day, and creating an environment where everyone feels supported — from your coworkers to your vendors to your residents.

Anyone who holds a CAM, CAS, CAMT, CAPS or CALP credential!

*Open to ALL WMFHA member credential holders in good standing (CAM, CAS, CAMT, CAPS, CALP, AIME, SHCM).

Meet Your Facilitator

Jessie Carroll has built a career around one simple belief: showing up   matters. With 18 years in property management — from leasing agent to   assistant   manager to regional manager — Jessie understands firsthand   the challenges, pressures, and small victories that shape life on site.   Those years created not just experience, but empathy: a deep respect   for the teams who keep communities running and the residents who call   them home.

Driven by a desire to give back to the industry that shaped them, Jessie   transitioned to the vendor side and joined Schwab Property Services. In   this role, Jessie supports managers with the services they rely on every   day, delivered with professional care, reliability, and budget‑friendly   solutions. Whether coordinating sponsorships, managing marketing   materials, or strengthening vendor partnerships, Jessie brings clarity, warmth, and a genuine commitment to making people’s workdays easier.

At the heart of every project, Jessie’s goal remains the same: to show up with integrity, support teams with purpose, and help create environments where   people feel valued and understood.
