New HUD Income Guidelines Announced

On March 28, 2016, the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) published new income limits which determines eligibility for housing assistance programs such as the Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8). The income limits published on March 28, 2016, take effect immediately.

State-wide the Median Family Income decreased from $73,600 to $73,300. However, in the Seattle-Bellevue Metropolitan Area's (which includes King and Snohomish counties) Median Family Income increased year-over-year from $89,600 to $90,300. In Pierce County, the Median Family Income increased from $71,000 to $72,300.
