Spice, Spirit, and Community: WMFHA’s 2025 Chili Cook-Off Raises $32,614 for DAWN

Posted By: Evan Omelia WMFHA Updates,

The 2025 Chili Cook-Off brought together members, families, and friends for a day of fun, flavor, and philanthropy — all benefiting DAWN (Domestic Abuse Women’s Network).

The event was filled with excitement from start to finish. Guests enjoyed a festive fall afternoon complete with delicious chili tastings, hot dogs, espresso and cold drinks, raffle prizes, games, and even trick-or-treating for the kids.

Family Fun, Flavor, and Community Spirit

Beyond the chili competition, attendees were treated to a Kids Zone, a lively costume contest, and surprise appearances from the Seattle Seahawks Blue Thunder Drumline, the Seahawks mascot, and Seahawks dancers. The energy was electric, the music was booming, and the community spirit was truly inspiring.

Funds were raised throughout the day through raffle ticket sales, direct donations, and contributions from DAWN’s wish list — all helping to support survivors of domestic abuse and promote healthy, safe relationships.
