3-hour session covers:

• Major mechanical and physical components
• Pumps, valves and filters
• Virginia Graham Baker act, equipment requirements
• Chemical testing and water balance
• Filtration and mechanical maintenance
• Liability and safety aspects of pool management

Water Heater - Gas and Electric

This class is an introduction and overview of the operation, maintenance and repair of a typical residential grade water heater tank.

3-hour session covers:

• Safety when making repairs
• Introduction to the dynamics of heating water
• Major components of gas-fired tanks and electric-fired tanks
• Thermostat control system and components: gas and electric
• Trouble-shooting common work order issues and complaints
• Common repairs
• Testing electrical components with a multimeter
• Preventative maintenance
