Legislature 101 and Session Preview

At the December 8 Government Affairs Committee meeting, WMFHA contract lobbyist Kathryn Hedrick presented “Legislation 1010 and Session Preview.” The presentation was a primer for some and reminder for others on the legislative makeup, the process of bill creation, drafting and passage, or not, as well as the role of advocacy, lobbying and individual efforts integral to success. In addition, she discussed possible legislation before the house and senate next year. We will be providing a more detailed legislative preview in January once bills have been released and there is a better sense of what will be in play.
