Hispanic Heritage Month to Lizbeth

Posted By: Lizbeth Garza Articles,
As a Latina of Spanish, Portuguese, and Mexican heritage, I proudly celebrate and represent my culture every day, but during Hispanic Heritage Month I find myself extra proud.

Although there are many ways to describe what being Hispanic means to me, here are my five reasons why being Hispanic is a never ending fiesta!

We Love Good Food and Sharing it Even More

No matter what region of Latin America, Hispanic food is the best and even better at abeula’s house. Our food is full of flavor and made with love so don’t even think about saying no when we offer you a plate!

Family is ALWAYS First and Mariachi is a MUST

Family time is the foundation of everything. We are there for each other in good times and bad, but coming together to celebrate the special moments are the best especially when there is Mariachi. I have yet to meet a person who can sit still through Mariachi.

We Welcome Everyone!

We are social people, so strangers quickly become friends and friends become family. Hispanics are naturally social and love any opportunity to get together. Keeping a healthy social circle is important to us.

We Have Home Remedies for Everything

There's nothing some homemade chicken noodle soup, a complete Vicks Vapor rub down, and some tequilita can’t fix.

Any celebration is a reason to party

There's no milestone in life that doesn't deserve a fiesta! Did you just get a new job? Great! Family is coming into town? Great!

My culture represents beauty, love, family, hard work, and PRIDE.
Happy Hispanic Heritage Month, my fellow Latinos! Pa-adelante โค๏ธ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’™
